FAQ

Q. How long does a session take?

Each session lasts between 45 to 90 minutes. For that reason, you may want to block of a full 2 hours from your schedule.

Q. What does hypnosis feel like?

Everyone has a different experience. Some people feel a floating sensation, and some may feel sleepy. Most people feel relaxed and very comfortable. The most important thing to realise is that how you feel isn’t an indicator of how effective the hypnotherapy will be. Regardless of what it feels like – it’s working.

Q. Can I get “stuck” in hypnosis?

No. You have complete control the whole time. You can talk, move, get a tissue, have a drink of water; you can even get up and leave!

Q. How does hypnosis work?

Hypnosis is not magic – it’s science. It works by creating a burst of brain waves that are the same as when you’re in REM sleep. This allows you to access your subconscious mind, bypassing your conscious mind.

Q. What if I don’t “go deep enough”?

How ‘deep’ you go is not that important. The depth of ‘trance’ is not linked to results at all. Just tell yourself that “This is working” and it will absolutely work – that is the power of your mind.

Q. Can I use hypnotherapy to improve things in my life, such as Sports Performance?

Yes! This has been successful with individuals, adults and children, to improve their results in the game of their choice.

Q. When will I start to see changes?

– Some people will feel a change immediately. They can experience changes in physiology, thoughts and behaviour even before the end of a session.
– Some people will see gradual, daily and incremental changes in the days and weeks following a session.
– Some people don’t see or feel different from one day to the next, then suddenly they will realise that they have changed from a few weeks or months ago.

Q. What if I need or want another session?

Most clients find that one session can give them the results that they were hoping for. Often, clients want to return for more sessions to work on other aspects of their life.

Q. What sort of issues can hypnosis help with?

A wide variety of issues can be addressed through a hypnosis session, some examples are listed below:-
